Society has become very dependent upon the motor vehicle for transport. This dependency can be for both work and for pleasure. When a driver gets behind the wheel, do they consider the consequences of their actions from their driving behaviour and ability?

Initially our ability to drive is assessed by an authority and once the assessment is passed, it is a driver’s responsibility to maintain and update their knowledge regarding new road rules or extra defensive techniques. This then poses the question do we have a right to drive or is it a privilege that we have to earn?

Driving has many potential dangers due to many factors on the roads. These factors may come from other road users, the road conditions or from our own driving behaviour.

There are road rules and regulations that we must obey; however, every day car crashes occur and people are either injured or killed. The costs to society from these crashes are worth millions of dollars every year, including grief and heartache to family and friends.

• Do you drive for work purposes?
• Do you manage a fleet of drivers using company vehicles? 
• Do you have employees who have come from another country and would like to experience driving in Queensland with a Qualified Educator before driving on the road themselves?
• Are you interested in reducing the on-going costs associated with operating a fleet of vehicles and the number of incidents that occur to these vehicles?
• How can you reduce these costs, these incidents and damage to the vehicles, reduce the stress for the driver and promote a good corporate image?

Have an Accredited Driver Educator help promote this safety image. We offer driver education for the experienced driver. This may be presented as a group talk/ lecture/ course or in a one-on-one driver refresher session.

Ask yourself these three questions;

• Can the incident rate be reduced?
• Can costs be reduced by better economical practices of each driver?
• Can insurance over-heads be reduced by proper driver education?

Some organisations have actually opted to no longer pay full comprehensive vehicle insurance as it was more economical to fund driver education, reducing costs of incidents and ongoing vehicle costs.

Have your driving assessed by a qualified Driving Trainer who can give you feedback on your driving techniques and behaviour to help reduce your chance of having a collision and to drive with more vehicle sympathy for less wear and tear on the vehicle in an attempt to minimise maintenance cost.
